LUMIARTECNIA INTERNACIONAL Has been awarded with three important prizes at the 2017 International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva

The International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva is the most important event of its kind in the world. To get an idea of how important they are, it is as if they were the ‘Oscar prizes’ for inventors.
It is only open to innovations that have been patented for less than a year and have never been presented before in Geneva. It is sponsored by the highest political and technical bodies, the Swiss Federal Council and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), with the support of an 85-member jury covering the various categories of inventions. This jury awards 50 prizes, among them the prestigious Grand Prix and the Oscar for the best invention granted by the public.

Founded in 1972, this fair is held every year at the Palexpo, in the city of Grand-Saconnex, attracting nearly 800 exhibitors from 50 countries, who present more than a thousand inventions, and welcoming more than 60,000 visitors each year

The inventions presented cover many areas, including energy, environmental protection, information technology, mechanical engineering, industrial processes, time-keeping, electricity, electronics, construction, civil engineering, carpentry, plumbing, ventilation, heating and security alarms, DIY materials, home arts, office and technical equipment, agriculture, gardening, textiles, medicine and hygiene, optics, transportation, health, food, cosmetics, entertainment, advertising, packaging and even games and teaching toys.

Lumiartecnia International has participated in this year’s edition with one of our latest invention patents: The Digital Water Mural.

The Digital Water Mural involves the adaptation of the technology of the Digital Water Curtain to interior spaces. The water slides slowly over a textured surface, silently, without splashing, consuming very little energy, with multicolored and interactive LED illumination using a downloadable application on your smartphone.

The Digital Water Mural has been awarded three important awards at the inventors’ hall: the award for best industrial design awarded by the Swiss Design Association, a gold medal, with the congratulations of the jury, in the category of Interior Architecture, awarded by the prestigious jury of the contest and finally, the award for the best Spanish patent, awarded by the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office.
